An insight into our club's diving activities
Boat Diving
Our club has 2 fully equipped dive RIB's, located close to Cleethorpes sea front, enabling a great platform for the launching/retrieval of the club's boats.
Were we dive

We run organised club boat-dives on the shipwrecks located off the Holderness/Lincolnshire coast throughout the dive season (March-September). The club has a large database of wreck positions,  built up over past 60 years.Giving members a interesting & diverse opportunity for diving these local sites.

The day starts at the boat house near Cleethorpes seafront, usually around 2hrs before high tide. Where we prep the boats for the day's dive, stow our gear, don dry suit's and tow the boats to slipway, ready to launch with the clubs tractors. Once we've checked in with Coastguard, its off we go to our chosen site. Boat Journeys to dive-site take between 40 mins and 1hr 30 mins, depending on distance, weather/sea state. We normally dive on high water slack, diving in pairs with 2 or 3 waves of divers, slightly over lapping, with average dive lasting around 40 mins. Once diving is complete then it's back to Cleethorpes, retrieve boats back to boat house, wash down boats and tractors. The days time-table usually takes around 6-7hrs though this may vary.

Covenham
The club's inland open water site is at Covenham reservoir, located half way between Grimsby and Louth. The sheltered inland water is an ideal site for the progression of open water dive training. The diving club forms part of covenham water sports association, and as such has  designated water times. Winter times Sunday mornings; dawn-11.00am, summer times Tuesday afternoon 16.00hrs to dusk.
